PHOENIX -- When the doctor told Chef Sara that she had cervical cancer, Sara laughed.
It’s a response most of us find unusual, but it was her natural reaction because she knew she could heal herself through the power of food.
Sara is a graduate of the Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida which is the number one alternative medicine facility in the world.
It was there that she learned how to prevent and treat diseases through raw, plant-based food. She says through these foods, her body was allowed to detoxify and heal itself. Within a month, her cervical cancer was gone.
Sara has taken her knowledge and passion to help people to Cave Creek where she opened Chef Sara’s Raw Vegan Academy and Café.
It’s not only a quaint place to indulge on healthy, delicious meals, but a place to learn about how to help yourself and your family live healthier lives.
She offers a three week “back to health” program where students learn how to prepare these foods and even grow some of them themselves. She prides herself on turning non-believers into believers and sharing her knowledge with others.
