TEMPE – An alleged drunken driver was arrested after trying to cross the light rail bridge over Tempe Town Lake.

Brayden Thomas Linville, 20, attempted to cross the bridge on tracks meant only for light rail trains on Friday at about 7:30 p.m. when his car got stuck.

It is still unclear how he got onto the bridge and attempted to cross through the tracks. The vehicle was removed a little over an hour after it became stuck.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Linville faces charges for allegedly driving while under the influence and trespassing on the tracks.
