TEMPE -- The countdown is on to the big ASU-U of A game, and the Wildcats have made their presence known, painting the A on A Mountain Wildcat red.
The A is usually painted Sun Devil gold. Traditionally in the week leading up to the big showdown, ASU students spend the night on the mountain, guarding the 60-foot-tall A to keep U of A students from painting it.
Gold was restored to the A late Tuesday morning.
