PHOENIX - The Maricopa County superior court has hired a consulting firm to probe the escape of a convicted child rapist.
Adrian Cruz simply walked out of a Phoenix courtroom during lunch recess on Feb. 17.
The National Center for State Courts is reviewing surveillance video of the escape.
Cruz was convicted in 2005 of raping a 9-year-old girl. He remains on the loose.
