PHOENIX (AP) — A woman accused of stealing up to 1,000 of luggage bags from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport with a man has been sentenced to 3½ years in prison.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Paul McMurdie also sentenced 39-year-old Stacy Legg King to be on five years of supervised probation once she's released and pay more than $86,600 in restitution.
King pleaded guilty to two counts of theft, trafficking in stolen property and dangerous drug violation.
King and 62-year-old Keith King were arrested in November after a Phoenix police officer said he saw Keith King walk into the airport, take a piece of luggage and leave. Authorities found hundreds of other bags in his home after following him there. Keith King is charged with 44 counts of theft, burglary and drugs.
