TEMPE, Ariz. -- Treasures 4 Teachers, a nonprofit organization that provides free supplies to teachers, won a $10,000 makeover from IKEA. The organization competed in a contest and was one of 38 places nationwide to win a makeover. IKEA employees were able to nominate their favorite worthy nonprofit to receive the gift.
As part of the makeover, Treasures 4 Teachers got new cabinets, pictures, walls painted, and much more.
"This gift from IKEA shows their support of education in our community. The fact that their employees nominated our program for this contest shows how much they value teachers," said Barbara Blalock, Treasures 4 Teachers' executive director.
