PHOENIX -- If you saw it going up, it's now complete, Phoenix's Hotel Palomar. The grand opening of the $90 million hotel was held on Thursday. The 242-room boutique hotel is part of the $500 million downtown revitalization known as CityScape.
It's the first downtown hotel to go up in three years. It has about 10,000 square feet of space across 10 meeting rooms, which the owners hope will attract large conferences and events. There's an outdoor pool with scenic views, along with a restaurant and roof-top bar.
Rooms are going for about $140.
The new hotel is creating 250 jobs.
