PHOENIX -- A dump truck carrying sand struck a concrete barrier and rolled on the 101 Loop north near McKellips. The truck landed on its side and caught fire, with the driver trapped inside the cab. The driver was extracted and has unknown injuries.

The 101 Loop is closed northbound at the 202 and all traffic is being redirected onto the 202 loop. Sand from the truck is on the roadway. No ETA has been given for when the road will re-open.
