Border stop leads to arrest of convicted murderer

LUKEVILLE - The following is a press release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection:
Border Patrol Agents assigned to the Ajo Station apprehended a vehicle carrying eleven illegal aliens on Highway 85 near Lukeville, Arizona.
Among the eleven individuals was an illegal alien who was convicted of Second Degree Murder with the use of a weapon in California.
The conviction was revealed after his biographical information was verified through the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS).
The illegal alien received a sentence of 16 years to life for the murder.
