PHOENIX, AZ -- Lute Olson's wife, Christine, broke her silence on the couple's divorce on a local radio show program.
Lute Olson had phoned into the Johnjay and Rich Show on 104.7 KISS FM to discuss his divorce and address a court appearance he is scheduled to make to explain funds transferred from the couple's joint bank account into one with just his name on it after their divorce had been filed. Lute says that the attention being raised around the situation is just an attempt to question his integrity and publicly smear his name.
Shortly after hanging up with the radio hosts, Christine Olson called in making her first public statements about the divorce and how it has been handled by Lute and his attorney. Christine said she believes that they waited until she was out of town to deliver divorce papers, and they had to be accepted by her 20-year-old son. She also expressed that she still does care for Lute Olson and doesn't understand why he has changed.
