Sheriff Arpaio sworn in by new U.S. citizen for 5th term

PHOENIX – Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is now officially in his fifth term in office.
The sheriff was sworn in Monday afternoon by a former Mexican national. Jose Bello is a native of Mexico City but became a U.S. citizen last month.
Previous swearing-in ceremonies featured celebrities like John Walsh, the host of “America’s Most Wanted.”
Arpaio said this year he wanted to look beyond personalities and focus on the issues facing his administration.
