Gay Lyn Turley

On 12/19/2007 at about 1810 hours, Gay Lyn Turley, a Mesa High School teacher, coach and an employee at the Mesa Aquatic Center, was arrested at the Gilbert Police Department on ten counts of sexual contact with a minor.

The victim was 16 years old when the offense was initially committed. Turley will be booked into MCSO 4th Avenue Jail.

On 12/17/2007, it was reported that Gay Lyn Turley had been involved in a relationship with a former student. The adult victim, now 20, reported that from 2003 through 2005, she was involved in a sexual relationship with Turley.

The victim stayed with Turley on multiple occasions, beginning in May of 2003. Over the next 6 months, Turley began to develop a sexual relationship with the minor which continued until 2005.

The victim moved in with Turley in 2005 at age 18. The victim moved out in 2007. Ms. Turley admitted her involvement in the relationship.

Turley will be booked into MCSO 4th Avenue Jail. Gilbert Police are concerned that there may be additional victims in this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gilbert Police Department at 480-503-6500.
