According to witnesses on June 3, 2008 at about 5:07 am during breakfast, Coconino County Sheriff’s Detention officers discovered that Mr. Tso was unresponsive.  Detention Officers immediately initiated Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.  Page Police Officers arrived and assisted detention officers however Mr. Tso did not respond to their life saving attempts and due to obvious signs of death Mr. Tso was pronounced deceased at the scene.  James Tso was in custody for Failure to comply with a warrant from the Page City Magistrate Court.  He was diagnosed with a prior congestive heart failure condition that was being treated by local physicians.  No signs of blunt trauma or foul play were discovered during the initial investigation.

Due to Mr. Tso’s previous medical history, Page Police Officers transported him to the Page Hospital on the day of his arrest Friday May 30, 2008 for a medical clearance prior to incarceration.  The attending physician prescribed a variety of medication that was being administered by detention officers.  The cause of death is pending results of the autopsy.
