PHOENIX -- If you're looking for a non-invasive way to deal with your love handles, or perhaps bra or back fact, 3TV's Yetta Gibson found an option you might want to consider.
It's called Liposonix®, and it's available at Van Dyke Laser and Skin in Paradise Valley.
The treatment, which uses high-intensity focused ultrasound energy to target specific problem areas, was approved for use in the U.S. in 2012.
Dr. Susan Van Dyke explained how the procedure works, saying there is absolutely no down time.
Van Dyke promises that patients will see results in as little as a single one-hour treatment.
"When the ultrasound is targeted on problem areas, it will permanently eradicate fat around the waistline without surgery or harm to the outer skin layer," reads Van Dyke's website. "The fat is removed through the body’s natural healing process. In approximately 8 to 12 weeks, the fat becomes completely metabolized. This leaves the patient with a thinner, more contoured waistline without having to go under the knife."
