GLENDALE -- When a Valley woman thought she was having a miscarriage, she went to the emergency room for treatment. She said what happened there is a lesson for everyone.

Kerry Higuera says she placed the life of her unborn child in the hospital's hands, and they put her child's health in danger.

The staff at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale performed a CT scan, which involves radiation. The doctors later said that test was not ordered for Higuera, but for a patient with a similar name. It's the radiation from that CT scan that put her baby, now 15 months old, in jeopardy.

The hospital has declined to comment, citing the possibility of pending litigation.

The Higueras have retained an attorney.

This is cause Banner Thunderbird sucks...A lot of people joke that this is where yo go to die...so, ya, don't go here ever...if you're dying go that "extra mile" to find someplace else cause either way, you'll have a better chance of surviving.
