PHOENIX – If you have Pillsbury cinnamon rolls in your refrigerator, you’ll want to check the date on the package because General Mills has issued a voluntary recall.

According to General Mills, the Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing dough could contain small shards of plastic that came from broken piece on the production line.

The recall affects eight-count single and double packages with specific “Better is Used” dates.

Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing single packages

  • 30 OCT 2013
  • 31 OCT 2013

Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing two-packs

  • 18 OCT 2013
  • 26 OCT 2013
  • 30 OCT 2013

The date will be printed on the bottom of the can.

This recall is only for these specific packages of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing, which were sold nationwide. No other products, including Pillsbury Flaky Cinnamon Rolls and Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls, are part of the recall, which General Mills announced earlier this week.

Customers who purchased Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing labeled with the affected date codes should contact General Mills toll-free at 1-800-775-4777 for a replacement.

Based in Minneapolis, General Mills is one of the biggest food companies in the world. Pillsbury is just one of nine baking-products brands in the General Mills portfolio.
