PHOENIX -- It's not uncommon to hear about ADHD in children, but attention deficit hyperactivity disorder can affect adults, too.

Dr. Art Mollen ran down 10 signs of adult ADHD for Kaley O'Kelley and explained that help is available.

1. Problems getting organized

2. Reckless driving, several accidents

3. Marital problems

4. Extreme distractibility

5. Poor listening skills

6. Restlessness

7. Problems starting a task

8. Chronic lateness

9. Angry outbursts, often with little reason

10. Problems prioritizing issues on both a day-to-day and long-term basis

Mollen said there are both short-acting and long-acting drugs that can help to increase epinephrine and norepinephrine in the brain.

While it's not known what actually causes ADHD, patients generally have low levels of these chemicals.
