PHOENIX -- A small airplane made an emergency landing at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Tuesday morning.
The pilot of the BE17 was making his approach when the plane's landing gear collapsed, according to Capt. Scott Walker with the Phoenix Fire Department. The plane made a belly landing, which caused a small fire in the front of the aircraft.
Firefighters responded and quickly extinguished the fire.
The pilot was the only person onboard. He was not injured.
