PHOENIX – It’s a big weekend on that ice now that “Disney on Ice: Princess Classics” has come to town.

Bruce Haffner went down to US Airways Center to give us a sneak preview of the big show and chat with one of the skaters.

With special guest Tinker Bell, "Princess Classics" takes you to the worlds of your favorite Disney princesses, including Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mulan, and Snow White.

In addition to the princesses and princes, the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella's Mice, Genie, and Sebastian are among the other beloved Disney characters to take a turn on the ice.

Aaslin Munck plays Maleficent, the villain from "Sleeping Beauty."

"It's an absolutely magical production," Munck said. "The little girls are absolutely adorable. It's so much fun seeing them dressed up as the characters that they love."

But the show isn't just for girls. One thing little boys will particularly love is Capt. Shang's sword fight.

"It's for boys and girls, young and old," she said. "There's something for everyone."

The show is about two hours plus a 15-minute intermission, and includes bits from each of the seven classic Disney stories, as well as a finale that features everybody, even Mickey himself.

Those who have seen the show say it's a fabulous event for families, especially those with princesses of their own.

“Disney on Ice: Princess Classics” opens today and runs through Sunday, April 10. Tickets range from $13 to $55, and are available online at  Disney.go.com or through Ticketmaster. You also can call 1-800-745-3000.
