PHOENIX -- It's official! Former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner will be part of the upcoming season of "Dancing With the Stars."

When Warner called in to chat with Scott Pasmore and Tara Hitchcock about the announcement Tuesday morning, he admitted that he was "extremely nervous."

"The thing you realize is when you're in front of 100 million people doing something you're good at, it's completely different than being in front of millions of people doing something you have no idea if you're good at," he said. "That's the scary part. ... I have no idea if I'm any good at this or not. It's definitely nerve-wracking.

"That's the great thing about the show," Warner continued. "For the most part, all of us are in the same boat."

Nerves aside, Warner said he's excited to try something new.

"It's going to be an interesting experience," he said. "I'm looking forward to it. ... I think I'm going to get to show a different side of me ... the side of me that's laid back, loves life and loves to smile and enjoy myself and not worried about embarrassing myself."

The "Dancing With the Stars" lineup was announced Monday night, and also includes actresses Florence Henderson and Jennifer Grey, reality TV stars Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Audrina Patridge, singers Michael Bolton and Brandy Norwood, comedian Margaret Cho, retired basketball player Rick Fox, actors David Hasselhoff and Kyle Massey, and Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin.
