GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Three men are in custody after a 20-mile car chase on Interstate 10 west of Phoenix Wednesday night.

An officer with the Department of Public Safety tried pulling the drivers of a van and a car over near Miller Road as they headed into Phoenix for reckless driving, tailgating and weaving through traffic.

The drivers, who apparently know each other, did not pull over. They continued, with officers in pursuit, until Dysart Road in the Goodyear area.

Officers on scene said there was a language barrier and they could not get an answer from the men as to why they did not immediately pull over.

The I-10 was closed for a while in the West Valley until the chase came to an end.
