PHOENIX - If your holiday shopping list includes kids, toy expert Reyne Rice has some suggestions. She says this year's most popular toys range from high tech to crafty.

The Kurio Kids computer tablet has special settings that help control what your kids can see.  For about $150, this kid-friendly tablet uses apps from the Android Marketplace and has a thick protective outer bumper to keep from breaking.

DigiPals are soft, small cases for iPods, phones or cameras.  They're not just cute, but they also protect your kids' electronics and the soft side of the pouch can be used to clean those devices.

Crayola Melt-n-Mold takes your old, broken crayons and turns them into colorful new creations, but this one is for slightly older kids because the device gets pretty hot as it melts the crayons.

A redesigned Power Rangers set allows kids to build smaller toys or larger action figures and makes an old toy theme new again.  Rice says there are many parents who will be excited to share a toy from their generation with their kids.

Finally, those Rainbow Loom bracelet kits are all the rage right now. Boys and girls alike love making the rubber band bracelets.
