PHOENIX (AP) -- Gasoline prices around Arizona are slightly higher again at the pump this week.
Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is $3.33 a gallon. That's up by 2 cents from last week.
"The rapidly escalating situation with Russia and Ukraine is an important issue to monitor as it develops." said Linda Gorman, director of communications and public affairs for AAA Arizona. "Further escalation, including any disruption to global supply, could propel global oil prices higher, which has the potential to magnify the seasonal price increase at the pump."
This week's national average is at $3.47 per gallon, an increase of nearly 4 cents from last week.
Tucson has Arizona's lowest average gasoline price at $3.24 a gallon and Flagstaff has the highest at $3.47.
South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices in the continental U.S. at $3.18 a gallon with California having the highest at $3.89 a gallon.
