PHOENIX (AP) -- The Arizona Indian Gaming Association is using a Valley Metro light rail car to spread its message throughout Phoenix.

The association of 17 tribes is unveiling the light rail advertising wrap Friday as part of an informational campaign on the benefits of tribal gambling operations.

The former governor of the Gila River Indian Community, Tom White, and other tribal leaders will be at the unveiling on the train platform in front of the Heard Museum.

Tribes that operate casinos in Arizona share a portion of revenues with the state. Some of that money is distributed to local governments.

Since 2002, the gaming association says tribal casinos have contributed nearly $1 billion in revenues to Arizona.
