LOS ANGELES (AP) — Frank McCourt says his estranged wife wanted no part in the risk associated with buying the Los Angeles Dodgers six years ago.

McCourt testified at his divorce trial Thursday that his wife and former Dodger CEO Jamie McCourt told him repeatedly she wanted her own nest egg, which was a group of luxurious homes.

The couple are fighting over whether the validity of a postnuptial agreement that supposedly gives him the Dodgers, the stadium and the surrounding property and her the houses.

Jamie McCourt hopes a judge will throw out the pact and have the assets split evenly under California's community property law.
