YUMA, Ariz. – A 5-month-old girl who was kidnapped by her father in Yuma Tuesday night has been found unharmed, according to police.

At about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Utah Highway Patrol stopped Jeff Green approximately four miles north of the Arizona/Utah state line on Interstate 15. He was taken into custody without incident.

Aleeha Green was found in the vehicle with him. She was unharmed.

Yuma police said Green, 47, took the baby from her mother after an argument about custody issues. Green has no custodial rights.

Green drove away with the child in a 1997 lime green Dodge truck with purple flames.

Sgt. Leanne Worthen said Green had made suicidal comments to family members and may have been in possession of a firearm.

Green was seen in the area of Boulder City, Nev., at about 7 a.m. Wednesday and was believed to be in the Las Vegas area later in the day. Police thought he might have been heading toward Montana.

According to The Associated Press, authorities activated Nevada's Amber Alert network in an effort to locate Green and his daughter.

The Yuma Police Department is asking anyone with any information regarding the investigation to call detective K. Huntley at 928-373-4781 or the Yuma Police Department at 928-373-4700 or 78-crime to remain anonymous.
