PHOENIX -- A woman who left her baby in a car seat on the roof of her car then drove away has pleaded guilty to child abuse and misdemeanor DUI.
Catalina Clouser, 21, entered her plea in Maricopa County Superior Court Monday morning. Sentencing is set for March 26.
On June 2, 2012, Clouser's 1-month-old baby was found sitting in a car seat in the middle of the road near 45th Avenue and Cholla Street. The child was not injured.
Phoenix police said Clouser had been smoking marijuana with friends earlier in the night. When she left her friends' home, she forgot that she had left her child sitting on top of her car and drove off.
She returned to the scene as police were investigating and was arrested.
