PHOENIX -- As a ridge of high pressure builds into the desert Southwest, the winds we’ve had around the past couple of days are dying down.
With the drop in winds comes an increase in temperatures. Already on Wednesday, Phoenix reached 94 degrees, which is about average for this time of year.
By Thursday, expect highs in the upper 90s. For Friday through Sunday, we’re looking at high temps in the range of 100-104 degrees.
But the heat isn’t here to stay. Another weather system will bring Arizona some cooler temps by late next week, with high temperatures backing down into the low 90s.
