WASHINGTON, D.C. -- This morning Arizona's fight against illegal immigration heads to the nation's capital.
Two years ago yesterday, Gov. Jan Brewer signed Senate Bill 1070 into law. However shortly before the controversial anti-illegal immigration measure was going to be implemented, a federal judge blocked four key provisions.
Tomorrow those key provisions will be debated at the U.S. Supreme Court, but first a congressional hearing will take place on the matter this morning.
Author and former Arizona Senate President Russell Pearce will testify in favor of the bill in front of the committee but will be contested by State Senator Steve Gallardo.
3TV and azfamily.com will continue to offer coverage from start to finish of this battle now taking place in Washington, D.C.
