PEORIA, Ariz. -- 3TV has obtained the surveillance video of what a Valley couple is calling identity theft in action.

In the video, a woman is seen swiping a credit card that is believed to have been stolen just 10 minutes earlier in the evening.

Alejandro asked 3TV to only use his first name.

He says since the crime occurred on July 31, it has been a nightmare.

He says his girlfriend Maria's car was broken into at a Peoria rec center near  Thunderbird Road and the 101.

He says someone smashed out the rear window and stole her purse with her checkbook, passport, cash and credit cards.

In the surveillance video he provided to 3TV, the female suspect is seen wearing what Alejandro says is Maria's purse into a Walgreen's nearby.

The card was charged more than $85 in school supplies.

Alejandro says Maria's cards were also used at a Shell gas station on N. 83rd Ave and Thunderbird Road the same night.

A police report was filed, and now Alejandro says he wants those responsible caught.

He believes the woman making the majority of the purchases has a distinctive, baseball-sized tattoo on her upper left leg.

He also thinks she has two female accomplices. He says he's done the majority of the investigative work to obtain the surveillance video and has now turned to 3TV.

He says he's hopeful someone recognizes them before anyone else becomes a victim.

"I'm not going to let these people get away with this, it's just a matter of time. People don't want them as neighbors," he said.

Peoria police encourage anyone with information about this case to come forward.
