PHOENIX – A van crashed into a family's home and set it on fire Friday afternoon.

The Ultimate Gymnastics van veered off the road and into a house in the area of Seventh Street and Mountain View Road in Phoenix at about 2:30 p.m.

The mother had just finished taking a shower when the van smashed into the bathroom area. Four children were also home at the time.

While the van was lodged in the house, the engine started to smoke and caught the home on fire.

A man at the home grabbed a garden hose and started to put out the fire. Firefighters arrived within minutes and extinguished the flames.

No one was injured, but the family was displaced.

Police said impairment was not a factor, but the driver might have been distracted.
