PHOENIX -- Valley residents are getting ready to usher in 2014 with parties and celebrations all around town. And this year, there's something for everyone.

One of the biggest parties is the Circle K New Year's Eve Block Party, held in the Mill Avenue District. After a one-year absence, the big party returns to Tempe, taking over Mill Avenue from Third Street to University Drive. The event will feature beer and champagne gardens, live music, video dance clubs, food trucks, and family fun zones. The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Tickets are $25. Admission for children 12 and under is free. To learn more visit http://www.millavenue.com

"Sensory overload is what I would call it," says organizer Kevin Koziol. "Confetti cannons are going to go off at midnight. The dance clubs, something that we've expanded; we've just taken that to the tenth level."

In Scottsdale, don't miss the Ultimate New Year's Eve Block party. Country music star Jon Pardi will be performing, along with several other bands. Fireworks will go off at midnight. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Admission is $15- $25. For more information visit www.scottsdalesultimateblockparty.com.

"We do have some good headlining bands," says organizer Alex Mundy. "Just kind of a mix of everything."

Scottsdale’s Hotel Valley Ho will ring into the New Year retro-style. A champagne dinner at ZuZu, the hotel’s restaurant, will feature a special four-course meal, with music, dancing and a rooftop toast at midnight. Seatings begin at 6:30pm and start at $110 per person. Reservations can be made by calling (480) 421-799, or visit www.hotelvalleyho.com. The Hotel’s Ballroom party features DJs, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a Champagne toast.  Tickets are still available at $195 and can be purchased at www.NewYearsEveArizona.com

"We're going to have dancing and a DJ out on the patio," says Kristin Heggli of the Hotel Valley Ho. "And in the restaurant, we have a four-course dinner with a champagne pairing; a lot of different options for each course, and a rooftop toast at midnight."

Talking Stick Resort is also hosting some big festivities. The resort will boast two different Auld Lang Syne events. The Salt River Grand Ballroom will host Studio TSR Strikes Back, featuring performances by Loveshack and Buster Pointdexter, as well as dancing, party favors, and a balloon drop at midnight. Tickets are $150 per person for a show and dinner, which is served at 6:30 p.m., and $99 per person for the show only, which starts at 8:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Raven's Annual New Year's Eve Gala will take place in the showroom and will feature a complimentary appetizer buffet until 11 p.m., two bars, cocktail and drink specials, a midnight toast, and music from SmashT and DJ Kilo. Semi-formal to black tie attire is required. General admission is $50. Call 866-877-9897 or visit www.talkingstickresort.com.

The UltraStar Multi-tainment Center  in Maricopa is hosting a pair of parties as well. First, the 10 Pins Down Bowling Alley will host a celebration of New Year's Eve on the east coast at 9 p.m. for those who have kids or can't stay up too late. That event will offer a balloon drop and other revelry. In the Luxe Lounge, the party for those 21-and-over goes until midnight with drink specials, party favors, dancing, and a champagne toast. Both events start at 7 p.m. Call 520-233-2431 for more information, or visit www.ultrastarakchin.com.
