SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. -- Two cars were torched in a San Tan Valley driveway and it appears to be the work of an arsonist.

Early Easter Sunday morning, Vikki Marozas and her husband, Gary, woke up to the doorbell ringing several times.

The couple ran downstairs and couldn't believe what they saw -- their limited-edition 1992 Hummer H1 was on fire. The vehicle was rare -- one of only two ever made.

The flames spread to their Corvette, which also was destroyed.

"When he opened the door, there was flames up to the top of the roof," Marozas said. "He closed the door."

The couple were able to make it safely out of the house, which was damaged in the incident.

"This is a horrible, horrible thing," Marozas said. "I'm just sick. My husband is absolutely beside himself over the fact that somebody ignited our cars."

Both of the cars were gifts to Gary.

Marozas said that while there has been some vandalism in the neighborhood, previous incidents were nothing like what happened to them Sunday morning.

Now a sign sits on the driveway. The couple's daughter is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arsonist.

"We want to know who did this to us," Marozas said. There are no adversaries; we're friends of everyone in the neighborhood. This is a horrible act of vandalism."

Marozas said she and her husband believe more than one person was involved in the arson.

If you have any information about the fire, call the Pinal County Sheriff's Department at 1-800-420-8689 or 520-866-5111.
