PHOENIX -- Phoenix firefighters had to make two visits to Piestewa Peak Saturday to rescue distressed hikers.
Emergency crews first responded at around noon when a teenager hurt his foot and couldn’t make it down the mountain.
About two hours later, crews returned to assist a woman who had become ill and could no longer hike.
The woman had to be brought down from the mountain in a scream suit using the helicopter.
There’s no additional information on the condition of the hikers.
