TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Tucson police have found a mortar shell near a busy business corridor.
Police shut down the area of Oracle and Wetmore roads for several hours on Wednesday after someone discovered the mortar shell near several car dealerships.
The department posted a picture online that shows a rust-covered mortar shell. It's unclear how long the shell had been there. Mortars were used during World War II.
