Map: semi-truck catches fire
CORDES JUNCTION, Ariz. -- Motorists traveling northbound on Interstate-17 had a hard time reaching their intended destination Friday evening.
A semi-truck caught fire near Cordes Junction, backing up traffic for as many as 20 miles.
While both lanes were eventually opened, traffic was still slowed as people tried to get a look at the semi-truck.
Traffic is expected to be backed up late into Friday night, with officials saying the I-17 should return to a normal pace once traffic levels decrease.
No injuries have been reported from the incident.
