TEMPE, Ariz. -- A man who has been grabbing women in Tempe grocery stores is also responsible for a groping incident in Gilbert, according to police.

The Tempe and Gilbert police departments are working together to identify and locate the man who has been approaching women from behind and grabbing their buttocks as they shop. He has been able to run away before anyone can confront him.

There have been four incidents involving the same suspect at three different supermarkets in Tempe and one in Gilbert, according to Tempe police spokesman Sgt. Michael Pooley.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 29 years old, with average height and weight. In two of the incidents, he was wearing a black T-shirt with a spider on the front and during each of the incidents he was wearing a baseball hat with an "A" on it.

The suspect has been seen driving a newer silver SUV.

Police have released photos of the suspect in the hopes that someone will recognize him.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or the Gilbert Police Department at 480-503-6500.
