PHOENIX -- A teen who crashed his truck into a neighborhood wall in west Phoenix Friday afternoon was run off the road, according to witnesses.
People who saw the crash near 67th Avenue and Thomas Road said other drivers were racing and one of their vehicles bumped the teen's truck.
The truck then collided with a wall separating two backyards from the busy Thomas Road.
The teen, who was heading home from school, reportedly had only minor injuries.
"He was like kind of shaking, scared," said Adrian Hernandez, who saw the driver climb out of the truck.
The truck also collided with a 45 mph speed limit sign, cutting it in half. The top half flew through the air and became lodged in a telphone pole.
"It's a good thing everybody was inside," Hernandez said.
The drivers who were believed to be racing did not stop to help, and witnesses did not get a good look at their license plates.
