SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- If you're looking for a cool activity to keep the kids busy during these hot summer days, you might want to "swing" by the new Glow Putt, a glow-in-the-dark mini-golf attraction!

The center at 92nd Street and Shea Boulevard offers a new twist on an old favorite outdoor activity. Glow Putt Mini Golf is an indoor, glow-in-the-dark, 18-hole miniature golf course. The jungle-safari theme surrounds a challenging course that is illuminated with special UV lighting.

Even the golf ball is special, as it glows brilliantly each time it passes through one of the many custom-made chargers located throughout the course. The layout is designed to challenge and please all skill levels, as golfers of all ages make their way through the air-conditioned course.

Owner Jim Bertoncino brought this business over from Hawaii. Glow Putt has been operating on the islands for more than 10 years, having locations on Oahu and Maui.

"I'm a golfer," Jim says. "I wanted to make it challenging for me and fun for the kids of all ages, so that went into a lot of the design."

Games are affordable -- just $10 for the first round, with discounts given for small children, groups, and members of the military. Replays during the same day are $5.
