PHOENIX -- Valley diners have a reason to celebrate. After being closed for the summer, T. Cooks at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa has reopened with a new look, new drink menu and new food choices.
The menu has been completely revamped, and will highlight Executive Chef Paul McCabe's interpretation of New American cooking.
The interior also has a whole new look, featuring Mediterranean-inspired design and architecture.
“The room, we've updated it, we got all new table and chairs, and no more tablecloths, which I think makes it really rustic and comfortable," says McCabe. "We added a community table and larger eight-tops for some private-area dining.”
The reopening also included the launch of a brand new and highly anticipated bar concept, The Mix Up Bar. The bar showcases a hand-crafted, garden-to-glass beverage menu, live entertainment and inventive small plates in a contemporary setting.
“We have actually a couple of carbonated bottled cocktails. We have a Paloma, which is Tequila and Squirt, but we made our own and we also have a carbonated Muscat mule made with ginger root and Tito’s,” said Kim Haasarud, founder of Liquid Architecture.
Diners will also find a new wine room and liquor display. But the food remains the main attraction. “We do in-house jerky, brined vegetables, bratwurst, flat breads a great burger. A nice meat and cheese display and in T. Cooks, the menu has gotten bigger,” said Chef McCabe.
For those who enjoyed outdoor dining, the patio hasn't changed at all.
T. Cooks is located inside the Royal Palms Resort and Spa, at 52nd Street and Camelback Road. You can find out more information about the restaurant online.
