PHOENIX -- Armed with a robot, police checked out a possible bomb threat at a northwest Valley bank Thursday night.
Officers responded to the Chase bank branch near 35th Avenue and Bell Road at about 11 p.m.
Witnesses said police were looking into a suspicious device found there, but officers on the scene would not confirm any details or explain what they were doing.
While no information was immediately available, video from the scene shows a remote-controlled bomb robot in action, and well as the bomb squad's truck.
The intersection of 35th Avenue and Bell Road reportedly was shut down for two hours while officers cleared the scene.
