Suspect sought in theft of boat from Phoenix yard

PHOENIX -- Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the person who stole a boat from a commercial yard in Phoenix.

Sometime between 5 p.m. April 25 and 6 a.m. April 28, a 28-foot Bayliner boat and 35-foot dual axle trailer were stolen from the yard near 24th and Jefferson streets.

Surveillance video shows the boat being hauled away by a white Ford F-150 pickup truck. There is no description of the driver.

The boat is a 1998 Bayliner 2855 Cabin Cruiser. It is white with "Insecurity" written on both sides.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or toll free at 1-800-343-TIPS. Anonymous tips can also be left online at www.silentwitness.org.

Witnesses could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
