PHOENIX – Authorities are searching for a suspect in a Phoenix bank robbery earlier this month.

The Bank of America at 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road was robbed at approximately 12:30 p.m. on July 12.

Police said the suspect approached the teller counter, which is behind bullet-resistant glass, and verbally demanded money.

No weapon was shown.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 45 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 to 180 pounds with possible acne scarring on his face.

He was wearing a red Washington State Cougars hooded sweatshirt and had a stocking over his face. He also wore sunglasses with light frames and dark lenses, dark-colored pants, dark-colored shoes and clear plastic gloves.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the FBI at 623-466-1999.
