PHOENIX – Authorities are searching for the man who robbed a Phoenix bank on April 19.

The suspect entered the Albertsons grocery store at Tatum Boulevard and Deer Valley Road at approximately 12:40 p.m. and walked around.

He reportedly changed his shirt inside the store and went to the checkout area where he obtained a plastic grocery bag.

He then went into the Compass Bank branch inside the store and verbally demanded money from a teller. The teller gave him a known quantity of cash and a tracking device.

The suspect left the bank and fled the area in an unknown vehicle. He discarded the tracking device in the area of 36th Street and Deer Valley Road.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, approximately 215 pounds, unshaven with short brown hair. He was wearing a white short sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at 623-466-1999.
