TEMPE, Ariz. -- A neighborhood cleanup day after Sunday night's monsoon storm made quite a mess near Warner and Rural roads in Tempe Monday morning.

"We were in the house and the noise was so incredible, you wouldn't believe it," said Janet Moffett, who is from Kansas and compared last night's winds to those of tornado. "It just hit, it hit just bang, and we were so stunned we didn't know what to do and I'd say it seemed like forever, but it was probably only five minutes and it was all over."

Once the storm passed, the roof of Moffett's sun room was missing.

"We had water in the family room, in the sun porch, all over," she said.

Big, mature trees throughout the neighborhood had also been knocked down which knocked out everybody's power in the process.

"We have a generator to keep our refrigerator items cold," Moffett said.

It's quite a bit for Moffett to take in and kept her up most of the night.

"I didn't sleep, I don't think an hour last night trying to figure out what we were going to do," she said.
