Map: PetSmart embezzlement
GILBERT, Ariz. -- A store manager is accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from PetSmart.
Roy Aguilar, 44, of Queen Creek, was arrested for felony theft for allegedly embezzling approximately $16,000 from the PetSmart near Power and Ray roads in Gilbert over the past year.
Gilbert police Sgt. Bill Balafas said PetSmart Corporation investigated Aguilar's embezzlement scheme and discovered he had been stealing cash from nightly deposits since October.
He was booked at the Fourth Avenue Jail.
