BISBEE, Ariz. -- Skeletal remains were discovered in the ruins of a house that burned to the ground outside of Bisbee.

A man spotted his neighbor's burned-out home in the 1000 block of Hidden Valley Ranch Road as he was passing by Saturday afternoon and called the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, according to spokeswoman Carol Capas.

The caller said he wasn't sure if the homeowner was inside and that the fire could have happened anytime between Wednesday and Saturday.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the area and found the remains in the debris.

The remains were transported to the Pima County Medical Examiner's Office to determine identification and cause of death.

The fire is being investigated by the fire marshal from the Sierra Vista Fire Department.
