The victim, Shaun Lewis, is seen walking across the street towards a nearby Wendy's in the 4000 block of Tuckaseegee Road before a SUV hits him, tossing Lewis more than 10 feet in the air.  The SUV stops momentarily after the crash before driving off.

"I remember running across the street and as I get half way I remember seeing some lights coming,” Lewis said Tuesday.  “I figured he would go around me…I didn't have time to stop, jump or get out the way.”

After being hit Lewis was able to get to his home about three blocks away before someone called authorities.

"I walked back to the house.  I don't know how I did it,” he added.  “I don't even remember being hit.”

Lewis said he is sore and will be out of work for two weeks.

“God will make a way, I'm just relying on God,” he added.  “If I were to see him I would just tell him 'Hey, you could at least pull me out the road…I would hate to see him go to jail for that.”
