PHOENIX -- Phoenix Police have arrested a man and woman accused of stealing beer from several Valley Circle K stores.
In June, Phoenix Police began investigating serial “beer runners” who had been stealing 30 packs of beer in the South Mountain Precinct.
Authorities were able to identify Jeffrey Webb, 43, and Keara Quijada, 30, as the suspects, and contacted Circle K Corporate Loss Prevention.
While working with Loss Prevention, police were able to determine that Webb and Quijada had gone on more than 40 “beer runs” in which they reportedly stole between four and six 30 packs at a time.
Officers were able to connect the suspects with the suspected vehicle, and began surveillance on the duo and their car.
On Wednesday, officers followed Webb and Quijada to a Circle K at 2708 West Buckeye Road where they allegedly stole five 30 packs of beer.
The pair then drove to a home in the area of 16th Street and Roeser where it was later learned that they sold the beer.
Phoenix Police stopped Webb and Quijada shortly after they left the home and placed them under arrest.
A search warrant was served on the home where Webb and Quijada sold the beer, and 26 30 packs of beer were found.
Webb and Quijada were booked for organized retail crime and numerous related felony counts.
