PHOENIX -- A 16-year-old is going to be charged as an adult for his alleged role in two sexual assaults in Scottsdale.
Danny Jackson is being held at the 4th Avenue Jail on charges of kidnapping, sexual assault and burglary.
Police believe Jackson is the man who assaulted two Scottsdale residents on October 18 and 24.
Jackson was arrested on Friday after police identified him through forensic evidence. Authorities also said at least one of the victims identified Jackson as the suspect, adding that they found more evidence during a search of Jackson’s home.
Prior to Jackson’s arrest, 22-year-old Ryan Festa was the primary suspect in the case.
Festa turned himself in to authorities after seeing a sketch of the suspect while watching the local news’ coverage of the crimes.
A judge decided to drop the charges against Festa until the lab evidence had process.
Festa was ultimately cleared of any involvement when the DNA evidence came in.
